[hacknews] rm

henry@utzoo.UUCP (Henry Spencer) (05/01/84)

Somewhat belatedly, a manual page for the Eagles has appeared.
See rm(4). Also, sm(4), apacks(8), and smcerrors(8) have gone away.

henry@utzoo.UUCP (Henry Spencer) (10/16/84)

rm(1) has been fixed to use getopt(3), to use the ndir directory routines,
to use the standard error-reporting facilities, and to use rmdir(3). Also
some miscellaneous cleanup and improvement of error messages.

One defect of using rmdir(3): when a directory is unremovable, you don't
get very much indication of why.
