I have installed a new rje(1) with appropriate changes on utcs. This version gives better error messages and allows the user to specify a jobname with the `-j' option. The default jobname is hte name of the first file of input, or the login name if the input is stdin. Uux(1) is now called with a grade of `J', which makes rje submissions distinct in the output of uuoutq(1). The mailer on the utcs end now puts subject lines on the mail it sends back here. The subject line identifies the type of mail (output or accounting) and the jobname. -- David Trueman @ U of Toronto Zoology {allegra,ihnp4,linus,decvax}!utzoo!david

Rje(1) was not dealing properly with first filenames with any non-alpha- numerics in them. It was turning the filename into a jobname by deleting any dubious characters. It was not, however, copying the filename before munging it, and so was trying to open the munged filename (blush). -- David Trueman @ U of Toronto Zoology {allegra,ihnp4,linus,decvax}!utzoo!david
