[hacknews] crashes and md

After three crashes in one afternoon, the memory disk has been temporarily
bypassed by mkfsing and mounting the overflow partition rather than md on
/md.  There is weak evidence that the crashes were power problems, and not
md's fault at all, but shutting down md for a while seemed the safest way
to proceed.  Stay tuned...
