After the most recent round of revisions in our hardware configuration,
and the addition of assorted items of new hardware, here's the up-to-date
list of what circuit powers what in the machine room. As before, circuits
running outside the machine room are ignored. So are the 220V circuits,
but that's academic since none of them are in use any more.
no. location powers
--- -------- ------
1 under floor tty40, Sanders
3 under floor Camac crate
5 East wall card reader
11 South wall E Eagles
13 South wall W 05 racks, 1 Gandalf
15 West wall #1 2 Gandalfs, 2 Bell modems
17 West wall #2 DH distribution panels, clock, various modems
19 West wall #3 Decwriter, Spinwriter, HP plotter, standup terminal
21 West wall #4 44 cpu box, magtape
As before, there is a longish cable running from the #21 outlets (behind
the tape cabinet) to a little power box under the floor behind the cpu
rack. We are a bit short of power in the rack area. There are also one
or two modems plugged into sockets run from the old 336 breaker panel;
we are short of sockets (not power, just sockets) in the modem area.
