We powered down and rebooted today to clear some (probably static-caused)
spurious error lights on the distribution panels, and to show Heather the
procedures. At shutdown time, we had been running the same kernel for the
last ten weeks, continuous operation except for scheduled backups. The
disk subsystem had logged over 112 million transfers, a new record.
