Laser printer #1 has been upgraded to a LaserJet Plus. Some quick testing indicates that the claim of much more memory available is in fact true, but limitations on the number of patches of graphics on a single line remain. That, fortunately, can (in principle) be fixed in software. Apart from slightly different labels on the control panel, the one visible difference in behavior is that the LJ+ flashes its READY light while it is receiving data, rather than while it's warming up.
