Ange and I stripped down printer 0 in hopes of discovering what's making it get so many paper jams. Nothing definitively wrong was found. However, we noticed that there were instructions in the manual for oiling the paper- pickup clutch. On taking the clutch apart, we found the remnants of its original oil in pretty solid form. This seemed a reasonable guess for the source of the trouble, so we cleaned it, oiled it thoroughly, and reassembled the beast. First tests got no jams, a promising sign. We'll see. -- "I don't *want* to be normal!" | Henry Spencer at U of Toronto Zoology "Not to worry." | henry@zoo.toronto.edu utzoo!henry
