Checknews(1) has been improved to cope better with rn users, who had problems because checknews normally does "readnews -c", and readnews has a tendency to be confused by rn's complex .newsrc files. Now, if there is a .rnlast file in the user's home directory, checknews does rn -c -s3 instead. Also, I noticed, to my surprise, that there wasn't a manual page for checknews, so I wrote one. -- "I'm not sure it's possible | Henry Spencer at U of Toronto Zoology to explain how X works." | henry@zoo.toronto.edu utzoo!henry
