I have discovered something that may be of interest
to empire games with the NUKES. there IS a way to reclaim
wasteland sectors after a blast. Anyone interested in this
information may mail me, and i will mail the trick to you.

 happy nuking,

Reclaiming is easy, but it's easily defeated, too. If it's not
fixed, the wasteland that used to be a capital is a very valuable sector.

Speaking about nuclear weapons, here's some info not found in
the manual: Nukes can be dropped between sectors for different results.
Following is a series of blast diagrams. On the left, the nuke was dropped
on a sector, on the right it landed between sectors.

Clearly, the one megaton nuke is the most useful of the small
nukes... I haven't tried the bigger ones yet. For 100% destruc-
tion the nukes can be aimed as such:

                      / / / : : / / / + + +
	               / / : : : - - - + +
	              / / / + + + - - + + +
 	               : : : + + - - - / / /
	                : : + + + : : : / /
	               : : : / / / : : / / /
	                + + + / / : : : - - -
	                 + + / / / + + + - -
Where each pattern block is one nuke landed in the exact center.
	(yes, it's between sectors)

Hopefully this will be of some help in reducing your neighbor to
	a glowing smoke-pit.
