[Nuke yourself - its even more fun than nuking your allies] The following are some of the pearls of knowledge I have gleaned by playing (and losing two countries) over the past few months. Feel free to differ. (Gee, some traffic in this group that isn't asking for source!) 1. Contracting food from a warehouse gives you ten times the $ you should be entitled to. The code must correct twice for its containerism. When everyone is filthy rich, no one needs loans. 2. Targeting a nuke at an (odd, even) or (even, odd) sector will result in four wastelands, rather than one. Opinions vary as to whether this is a bug or a feature. 3. The way to move large numbers of people (500-999) is as follows: a. build the target sector as a 100% road. b. move the civilians along other 100% roads to the target. c. re-designate the sector to what you want it to be. This is useful as urban areas are very slow at recovering mobility 4. People who hack at the empire binarys with adb should be prepared to suffer the humiliation of having all their process slots sucked up. When empire discovers a datafile error, (I think) it fork/execs a new process which quickly decides there is a problem, and fork/execs.... Killing off these processes one at a time is futile (one of the 20 or so hungry processes quicky grabs it again) and you have people asking why you are running so many nroffs, or cshs, or emacs. Carl Hommel Wife: Where did all those question marks come from? Hushband: Oh, no! I'm being attacked!
