<You don't have the BTUs, Bozo!> We're in our third week of our first game up here, and I find myself running into a problem. Do any of you experts out there have any advice? My problem is that I'm running out of BTUs. I've got about 700 Civilians crammed into my capitol, and I'm running out of BTUs. I update my nation twice a day. When I log on, I have all 255 BTUs available. But when I log off, I'm out of BTUs, and I still have women and equipment that need to be moved. And if it's this bad now when I have only 420 sectors and 40,000 people, what's it going to be like next week when I have 80,000 people? Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone offer some suggestions on how I can conserve my BTUs and still get my people moved around? Chuck (aka Bozo)

I think that you need to consolidate a little. A lot of deliveries is liable to drain your BTUs, since you use all of those moves, and things I think. Gad zukes though, in the game I played, we weren't so spread out. Just 20 of us on a 128x128 map. Highways can help you get things moved, perhaps allowing you to use less move commands to get materials greater distances... -Peter Yee ..ucbvax!yee yee@Berkeley.ARPA
