I've been having a fair number of replies to other people's mail bounced back by mail daemons along the way. This is an excruciating bore. PLEASE make sure you're got a correct reply address on your mail (when one is included) and don't try getting to bellcore through any one-way links. Bellcore itself may be to blame for some of this (we have an ARPA zealot here who, on occasion, will remove entries from our uucp systems file), but aside from drawing and quartering this turkey as the need arises I'm just too disorganized to track down every weird mailer failure. Two replies that haven't gotten through after several tries are: To: bellcore!decvax!genrad!grkermitlsrhs!smiles Unfortunately the only pdp11 version I have is ancient. When do you get your VAX? To: encore!vaxine!spark!137!19!Chip_Salzenberg To: decvax!encore!vaxine!spark!137!19!Chip_Salzenberg Huh? "Empire 5.00, MS-DOS release 1.01 or so"? Whuzzat? Perhaps we have different Empires in mind. Could you describe the one you have a little further? I don't recognize that version ID at all... And to save others the hassle of sending me any hard-to-respond-to mail; 1) No, I don't have a Pyramid version yet, but I will soon. 2) No, I don't have an up-to-date pdp11 version. The 11 is a great machine, but I don't have access to one. 3) Yes, the Sun version should be ready in a few weeks. 4) No, I don't have a SysV Vax version; I haven't even found a SysV machine (aside from the Pyramid and my Iris). 5) NO, you can't have the source code to do a port to your Oxy 2000, or your Framgate 12/345. I sympathize, but NO.
