I have on several recent occasions come across statements such as the following (by Edwin R. Lewis, Berkeley): There can be no doubt that the future of biology is complexity; the intellectual tools that will place one at the frontiers of that science will be those aimed at dealing with complexity. Given my specific interest in neurobiology (and neuroscience in general), can anyone provide specific examples or references that would illustrate Lewis' hypothesis?
