I propose creating the net.micro.hp41 newsgroup for owners of the Hewlett Packard HP-41 handheld computing system. I think such a group would be a highly beneficial means of information exchange, particularly with the explosion in synthetic programming techniques seen in recent years. This group would apply to the HP-41C/CV/CX and all peripherals including HP-IL and connecting devices. It could possibly branch out into closely related issues involving the HP-75, for example. But I think most discussion would revolve around HP-41 synthetic programming and therefore believe that the group should be named net.micro.hp41. (It is conceivable that a different newsgroup for the HP-150 may start up eventually.) I encourage your views on this either way. Please respond by mail or to net.news.groups. -- Roger Noe ...ihnp4!ihlts!rjnoe
