I tried to mail this, but mhtsa (or something thereabouts in the chain) won't forward: I did about one day of shopping for a 25" TV and wound up very pleased with the 19" Hitachi I bought about a month ago. The picture is sharp (but nearly every decent 19" we looked at was) and we're happy so far. I got a manual-tune set since I figured that the extra $150 for remote electronic tuning wasn't worth it on a $350 set. I also skipped "cable ready" since it's possible that you'll have to use the cable company's decoder box (and "tuner") anyway. Check with your cable company first. If their decoding is done in a box on your TV, neither "cable ready" nor remote tuning is going to be useful since you'll have to leave your TV tuned to channel 3 (or 4) anyway. A solution to both features is to get a manual, mechanical tuned TV then get a remote-control tuner/decoder from the cable company. (My wife's parents did just that for only $2/month extra). Good luck, Pete LaMaster BTL NJ 201-949-0040 houxh!pvl
