Regarding the VCR copying query, my experience has been that there is little point in trying to copy a tape at a "better" speed than the source, i.e. if the input is at 6 hours .. don't bother making a 2 hour copy. You can't get better than the original anyway. Also, at least on MY portable, I can run separate audio/video lines to another and not have to go to RF patching. I notice a slightly better copy using audio/video lines over RF. The mod/de-modulate process DOES lose something. As far as making special cords, I use some RG59 (75 ohm) antenna cable with RCA phono connectors on the end for video, and a standard audio cable for audio. In a pinch though, I have used an ordinary stereo pair of cables for both with no serious degradation (as long as the cable is short ...< 1 foot). Rob Botwin
