A previous article mentioned the limited bandwidth in the color channels (composite color video). The 500 kHz limitation in the Q channel, however, is fully sufficient for the intended purpose: the Q channel is (essentially) blue, and the human eye just plain can't see blue change much faster than the 500kHz limit provides. And I would guess that, if you're building your own system (send and receive) that you could extend the bandwidth of the channels, both I & Q, and see if it looks any better. The next trick is to get a display tube worthy of the electronics you put behind it... ...teklabs!keithe
