To those in net.land: I would appreciate information on some JVC products. I am a newcomer to the video-world so I know little about video equipment. Recently my Church acquired some JVC video equipment: 1 TU-26U Tuner 1 HR-2650U VCR 1 GX-N5UT Camera We use 2 camera extension cables (I think they are 30 feet long) and we see no problem so far. We record in the Standard-Play mode on a T-120 cassette. We did try the extended play mode but we were not satisfied with the results. By the way, does anybody know if you can record in the intermediate mode (LP) with the HR-2650U ????? Also it would be appreciated if you can tell me how I can record from the audio-input jacks in the back. (It looks kind of ugly having two wires going into the front of the VCR. We tried several different combinations with our amplifier but could not get a satisfactory result. What is the best and/or cheapest method to raise the level or do whatever is involved ???? If anybody sees any problems with our layout then please let me know. What I am really wondering is if the equipment we have is meant for the type of use we have for it. We tape anywhere from 5 1/2 hours up every week. I think that's it. Please reply via mail (Please) {allegra,utcsrgv,ihnp4}|garfield|terry3
