[net.video] Sony Beta hi-fi vcr

I have had a Sony SL-2700 Beta hi-fi vcr for about 6 months and I
thought I would share my experience with it. This unit is about the
best video recorder I have ever seen. It has almost all the features I
could ask for, as well as many I would never hve thought of. Features
include remote control, scan and slow motion at all speeds, direct
access tuning of 107 channels (cable &c.), 2 week/4 event timer, and
many more. The best feature of the unit is the hi fi sound. As an
audio recorder it is unmatched by any other device for home recording.
The sound is amazing, I have taped many albums and the tapes are
indistinguishable. Also, the movies that are recorded in hi-fi, like
"Flash Dance", are just breath taking. I doubt the sound was as good in
most theaters. I really reccomend this unit with one reservation. This
is about the most expensive vcr on the market. Price aside it is great,
and if you have the money go for it.
