I am now in the market for another VCR, since my two month old Quasar was ripped off. Perhaps someone in netland can help out. My new requirements are: 4 head wireless remote w/channel, on/off, and VCR/tv cable ready to more than 105 ch stereo, not necessarily the new hi fi oh yea, VHS I've looked at a Kenwood(by JVC) 905 that is a nice unit and sells here in Oregon for around $800. Someone on the net recently posted about a GE for $700, are you out there?? Also, what is a good price on the new hi fi VHS machines? I thought about a timer and a stick of dynamite for the next time Mr. Rippoff comes by, long enough timer so he can get the VCR over to his place before BAARRROOOOOOMM!!! Any info will be appreciated, lots of info could prompt another submission to net.video for those interested. I'm bolting my new one down. tektronix!tekig!david

Another VHS VCR to consider which has the specs you asked for is the Minolta 770. It is a portable, 5 head, stereo, cable ready VHS VCR with wireless remote. The lowest price I've been quoted for it in NYC is $650. I have one and it works fine. I believe RCA and PENTAX market the identical unit with their respective names on it.
