RCA has announced a new VHS stereo hifi recorder, the VKT550, with a projected retail price of $1,000. Some audio specs are: b/w = 20Hz-20KHz dynamic range = 80dB wow/flutter = 0.005% n.r. = "Peak Noise Reduction" (an RCA original) dual FM audio carriers (1.3 and 1.7 MHz) separate azimuth angles for audio and video tracks Other features: mono compatible, 14 day/6 event timer, 105 channel tuner, express recording, stop action, frame advance, double speed, forward and reverse search.
