(oo) Has anybody out there had any experience with getting service manuals and schematics for VCRs? The type I have is one made by Mitsubishi and sold under several brand names, including Panasonic, JCPenney (That's mine), and Sylvania. It is a very common model, a bare-bones rig, about three years old. I recently had an audio problem with it that I *think* I've got fixed, but I sure would like to have a schematic for the thing so I can get a better handle on what went wrong to begin with. -- Bob Fishell ihnp4!ihu1g!fish

--- I recently purchased an RCA VJP900, and found the user info lacking, so I set out to obtain a service manual. A quick call to RCA Consumer Products in Indianapolis told me all I needed to do was send them a check for $18 ($15 for the manual, $3 for handling). A week later, and I had the manual in hand. I also have a unit such as that discribed (a Matsushita, bare-bones type). I have borrowed the service manual for it several times from a friend, so I know it is available, and I assume easy to obtain. (It has a nice discription of VHS recording format in an introduction.) Hope this helps, and is interest to > 1 person. Ted Estes AT&T Teletype Corp. ...!ihnp4!tty3b!estes
