>From the May 21 issue of broadcasting magazine:
Pioneer Video will spend up to $3 million to promote the
laserdisk videodisk player. TV commercials on top-10-market
network affiliates and MTV, plus some radio.
Commercials feature Ray Charles and include another
blind (!) pianist, George Shearing.
This item appeared in a weekly section reporting new ad
campaigns; the magazine has yet to take further notice.
