The Proton 19" monitor (I don't know the model number off hand) is the
most incredible consumer video display device I have seen!
I have no previous experience with Proton as a company, but have seen
their monitor demonstrated on several occasions, and will be buying
one sometime in the near future for my Laserdisc player.
See if you can locate a high-end audio/video store in your area and
ask them to set up a demo for you, using a Laserdisc player and a
Laserdisc which has very good video production.
