A few years ago I subscribed to a video magazine called
the "Videophile", which was based in the editor's garage
in Talahassee Florida. The magazine was great fun to
read. The contributors were knowledgable and opinionated.
Although the hardware reviews did not have the benefit of
today's fancy lab tests, they made up for it in candor.
At any rate, just about the time vcrs became a mass consumer
item the Videophile disappeared, literally. In the middle
of my subscription, the issues stopped coming and no one
would return my mail.
Presumably, the Videophile folded. Does anyone know the details?
Are there other hobbiest video newsletters?
