I am interested in finding C-sources (not Algol!) for a program that will
compute the eigenvalues, and eigenvectors for arbitrary real matrices. I have
found an example program in "Handbook of Linear Algebra"
(Numerische Matematik), but it is in Algol (and I don't have an Algol compiler
for my mac), and written so bizzarely (read lotsa gotos) that I don't have
the energy to convert this to C, and debug it. Also, this seems like a
pretty common application among physics people, and so I am sure someone
out there must have solved this problem. I'd rather not solve it again.
Appropriate Remarks,
Lewis.
