The Cable TV company serving my area is Monmouth Cablevision.
They do an excellent job at providing clear, strong signals.
1. The FM stereo simulcasting they provide for
MTV, HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax is excellent.
My JVC VHS Stereo VCR has had no problems
recording movies and MTV in stereo.
2. When storms knock out the cable, service is
restored promptly (although no credits are
given for time when system was down).
3. Pay channel signals are not scrambled, so
the functionality of my cable-ready set
is fully utilized. If you unsubscribe to
a pay channel, they put a filter for that
channel outside on the utility pole.
4. The "off-the-air" channel numbers are kept the same
on the cable, except where not possible.
