I have a Sony VCR that's several years old, and still going strong. I have noticed one problem though. While taping from a pay cable channel, areas that are red are often "polluted" with blue or purple horizontal streaks. This only happens on the pay channel, and the color on the pay channel is fine when viewed "live". My question is whether this is an artifact of incomplete filtering of the pay channel's scrambling signal, or a sign that my VCR needs work. Many thanks for the advice.

Or a sign that the Pay channel is "copy protected" in some way. Since the other channels record fine I would suspect this first. --Chuck -- "Unix, the Teco of Operating Systems." - - - D I S C L A I M E R - - - {ihnp4,fortune}!dual\ All opinions expressed herein are my {qantel,idi}-> !intelca!cem own and not those of my employer, my {ucbvax,hao}!hplabs/ friends, or my avocado plant. :-}
