The Sony SL-2710, like other Sony VCRs, doesn't let you display the time of day when the VCR is turned on. This is one "feature" I hope they change in their newer models. I note that the SL-HF900 has room for TWO clock displays, so maybe it will let you know the time. Steve Lionel P.S. You can get a copy of the instructions for any Sony VCR by contacting Sony. (This holds for just about everything - ask the manufacturer for a copy of the instructions.) I know that the service manual for the SL-2700 contains the user instructions, but you can probably just get the user manual by itself. (Still, it is handy to have the service manual.)
