Publishers Central Bureau is selling "Suddenly" for $19.99; Federated, a local discount house, is selling it for $12.40. I haven't seen it for over twenty years and was fool enough to order it from PCB before going over to Federated, so I can't yet testify to the quality of the videotape but.... This is an excellent film. Frank Sinatra who starred as the villain withdrew it from circulation shortly after the Kennedy assassination. That's because the film is a strange combination of anti-gun control and "Can this Assassi- nation be Stopped?" thriller. The central female character is a young woman whose husband was killed in the Korean War and who refuses to marry the nice cop she's in love with because he carries a gun or let her young son have a cap pistol. Her house overlooks the railroad tracks, and the President is going to be stopping in town and giving a short speech on a whistlestop tour. Then there's a knock on the door, and the men say they're the secret service, and (no, I'm not going to tell you the rest of the plot).... But I do recommend seeing this. --Lee Gold
