pjk@hou2a.UUCP (P.KEMP) (08/21/85)
Thank you, all of you, who "dropped me a line" about my article concerning the AT&T Bell Labs Video Club [you can stop now! :-)]. I have received responses from all over the country (but none from Canada or Europe yet!). The latest response I have received is: > From: avolio@decuac.UUCP (Frederick M. Avolio) > To: pjk@hou2a.UUCP > Subject: Re: Holmdel Video Club > In-Reply-To: your article <586@hou2a.UUCP> > > >From pjk@hou2a.UUCP (P.KEMP) Thu Aug 15 14:08:51 1985 > >Relay-Version: version B 2.10.3 4.3bsd-beta 6/6/85; site decuac.UUCP > >Posting-Version: version B 2.10 5/3/83 based; site hou2a.UUCP > >Path: decuac!cvl!umcp-cs!seismo!harvard!talcott!panda!genrad!decvax!tektroni > >x!uw-beaver!cornell!vax135!houxm!hou2a!pjk > >From: pjk@hou2a.UUCP (P.KEMP) > >Newsgroups: net.video > >Subject: Holmdel Video Club > >Message-ID: <586@hou2a.UUCP> > >Date: 15 Aug 85 18:08:51 GMT > >Date-Received: 20 Aug 85 06:09:22 GMT > >Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Holmdel NJ > >Lines: 20 > > > > > >[This announcement should only have been distributed to > >AT&T Bell Labs, Holmdel, NJ, sites. However, I have noticed from looking at the headers of my own articles that the distribution line was not present. That is why I included the "warning" at the top of my article. I usually use a distribution of "na" for most of my articles, but I guess they have all been sent netwide. The problem is probably the archaic version of netnews that !hou2a uses (B 2.10 5/3/83). [Are any Holmdel system administrators reading this?] Fred mentioned that I could add a distribution line when I edit my file. Can anyone instruct me as to exactly how this is worded and placed [only one response per state please! :-)]. I apologize for any inconvenience the article may have caused. -- Paul Kemp ihnp4!hou2a!pjk The above statements are those of the author only, and are not those of AT&T Bell Laboratories.
