My vcr, a Sharp VC 9400, is experiencing problems in the "playback" mode of operation. Tapes recorded on this machine appear normal when played back on other machines, but when they are played back on this machine, there is a large amount of video noise and "snow," which is not corrected by the machine's tracking adjustment. The machine is three years old, and the problem has become progressively worse.
