Does anyone have experience using the longer (and thinner) videotapes (T-160 and/or L-830)? A friend who is stuck with VHS (rather than the superior Beta ( -:)), who at least uses SP for recording, needs a bit more than 2 hours per tape and asked me if the T-160's are reliable. I have no idea. Questions would be: . any breakage or jamming problems? . any drop-out or flaking problems? . in general, are you happy with it? I will summarize responses if there are (m)any. --Kne

I've had good luck with PD Magnetics T-160's. If anything, they work better than T-120's, perhaps because the thinner tape fits over the audio (VHS Stereo) heads better. The main problem is limited supply; T-160's are not so deeply discounted as the 120's are. What I'd really like to see is a T-180 or T-240 ... -- Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX ...!tektronix!reed!omen!caf CIS:70715,131 Author of Professional-YAM communications Tools for PCDOS and Unix Omen Technology Inc 17505-V NW Sauvie Island Road Portland OR 97231 Voice: 503-621-3406 TeleGodzilla: 621-3746 (Hit CRs) L.sys entry for omen: omen Any ACU 1200 1-503-621-3746 se:--se: link ord: Giznoid in:--in: uucp
