There's been little mention of the CED videodis(c/k) format lately on the net, which isn't surprising, considering how it is an orphan now, and never had the glamour or capabilities of the laservision systems in the first place. I don't have one myself, either, but a friend of mine does, which is why I noticed the following. I thought it might be worth posting in case there are some of you out there who have CED equipment hidden away... I ran across a number of CED disks in the cutout bin of a local (St. Louis) mall chain record-store (Camelot Music), priced at 99 cents each. I bought one each of the 5 non-children's selections they had, to include with that aforementioned friend's Christmas present (though the shipping on those things -- they are *heavy* -- will probably exceed the purchase cost!). I asked the clerk if they had put CED disks in their cutout bin before, and she told me that this was a first-time event. So I thought I'd mention to you-all that this might be a good way to get cheap software for any CED equipment you might still happen to have. In case you wonder what sort of stuff was going for 99 cents, the motley assortment I picked up was: "The Nutcracker" with the Bolshoi Ballet; the movie "Diva"; the Monty Python revue, "The Secret Policeman's Other Ball"; an Adam & The Ants concert; and Barbara Woodhouse on dog training. An eclectic assortment, to be sure... :-) Will
