I am interested in knowing more about APL's that are available on UNIX systems, and with problems that people are having with moving workspaces from one APL interpreter to another. Any experience there? Is anyone involved with standards work?

I just received this: Have you seen Dyalog APL from Dyadic Systems (Farnborough, England). It has the extensions and many more. I evaluated all the APL interpreters on th market for UNIX about 6-8 months ago and we eventually chose this one. John Smyrnew Research Analyst Athabasca University Edmonton, Alberta CANADA ... alberta!auvax!apldem .. alberta!auvax!johnsmy STSC is coming out with an APL written mostly in C. I know there is another APL for the 68000 chip, but frankly forgot the name. I'll to know more about the Dyalog APL - features, interface (files, system commands, etc.d) with UNIX, and portability to UNIX machines. Marc Meketon hou2f!vifl
