[net.lang.apl] APL\11 characters still needed.

I would like to thank dec-orphan!blickstein for his list of VAX-11
APL characters, some of which work on my apl\11. Unfortunately,
the "dot mnemonics", which comprise most of the operators needed
for most applications, don't work. If anyone knows another method
which might work, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Thank you.

If the APL\11 you refer to is the one from the DECUS library that runs on
RT, RSX, or RSTS, the dot mnemonics should work. When you run APL it should
prompt you with TERMINAL.., to which you reply TTY if you want to use the
dot mnemonics.

If this is some other APL... can't help you (APL-11 is the only APL for
11s I know of though I've heard that UNIX has an APL but don't know if it
runs on 11s).

Sorry about posting a direct reply like this to the net but it seems to be
the only way I can get through.
