There is no overall, consistent addressing scheme but I am working towards a true Aus. Comp. Sci. Net with uniform addressing and information services (like the US CSNET). The link to Qld is via CSIRONET but connection has to be initiated manually from the qld end. The melbourne link is the same but Robert Elze regularly makes the connection each night so I count that as a regular connection. Qld mail will be more regular soon when their link is improved. The monash and csirovlsi connections are fixed links through CSIRONET. Please let me know if you want more info on our network development effort. Bob.
