PARAGUAY
Paraguayan judicial authorities have ordered the arrest of
two doctors in Bela Vista, a city on the border between
Paraguay and Brazil, who has been accused of removing the
vital organs of a one-month-old baby. The child had been taken
to the state hospital to be treated for dysentery, a few hours
later the mother was notified that she could claim her child's
corpse. Because of obvious signs of surgery an autopsy was
performed and it was discovered the infant's organs had been
replaced with disposable diapers. (Spanish Radio 6/18)
