myers@uwmacc.UUCP (Jeff Myers) (04/26/85)

Well, the warblers are finally in town. Won't be long before you can't
do more than see birds on the wing and hear them chirping due to the
lush foliage.

Here's what I've run into in the past two weeks:

White-Throated Sparrows (quite a flock digging among the leaves like thrashers)
Field Sparrow
House Sparrows
Chipping Sparrow
Tree Sparrow
Palm Warblers
Myrtle Warblers
Black-Throated Green Warbler (pretty bird!)
Tennesee Warbler
Robins, Cardinals, Grackles, Herring Gulls, Black-Capped Chickadees,
American Crows, Mallards, Starlings, Rock Doves, Red-Winged Blackbirds
Blue Jays (building a nest in our side yard)
Mourning Dove
Cedar Waxwings
Downy Woodpecker
Yellow-Bellied Supsackers (little flock)
Green Heron
Black-Crowned Night Heron
Rufous-Sided Tohee
Turkey Vultures
Osprey
Red Tailed Hawk
American Coots
Killdeer
White-Breasted Nuthatch
