I am looking for recommendations on binoculars to take on a trip to South America (Amazon and Galapagos). They will be used primarily for viewing wildlife, and need to be small, lightweight, resistant to water damage, and not too uncomfortable for people who wear glasses to use. I have seen some listed in 47th Street Photo's catalog for between $150 and $200-- if these are any good, that's about the right range. Any recommendations on brands (I know Nikon cameras are good, but what about their binoculars? What about Bushnell/Bausch & Lomb?) or suggestions would be appreciated. Please reply to me directly--I will summarize to the net. Evelyn C. Leeper ...ihnp4!mtgzz!ecl
