Tame birds will exhibit this behavior too. Parrots and others like them
will regurgitate partly digested seed into their crops and share it with
their mate. They will even try to do this with humans if it is a single
tame bird who thinks he is a member of the family.

Get (or make) a recording of the  mockingbird's  distress call.  Whenever the
real bird squawks at night, play the  recording.  This will either  drive the
bird off or train it not to squawk at night.
