Which windowing system will give me the most bang for the buck on a 286 with 4 MB of XMS configured memory? The QuaterDeck people tell me that DV will not use the extra memory. Will it, or will MS Windows 3.0. I also would like to run an alternate shell (MKS ksh.exe) versus the default command.com. What is the best system. Basically what I would like to do is have three windows. Jove (Emacs like editor) MKS shell Kermit to a Unix box (2400 baud) Looking for Advice. (and not enough money to by a 386 board) -- Frank Kolakowski ======================================================================= |lfk@athena.mit.edu or lfk@eastman1.mit.edu or kolakowski@wccf.mit.edu| | Lee F. I think you will find that both programs will use the HMA (64K), but neither will use any more (extended mem qua extended mem) than that. -- (Another fine mess brought to you by valley@gsbsun.uchicago.edu)
