There are (at least) three kinds of sparrows in England. The House Sparrow is the tough one and has now spread all over North America. Any bird that can displace is is going to have to be pretty tough too. The other two kind of sparrows are the Hedge Sparrow which is similar to the House Sparrow but is shy and lives in more rural locations and the Tree Sparrow (Dunlin) which likes Willow trees. Personally I think pigeons will survive them all. Mike. inhnp!mtgzz!mwf.
