The QEMM386 manual describes the NOROM option as follows: NOROM (NR) tells QEMM not to map the reboot page of the system ROM. QEMM normally maps one 4K page of the system ROM in order to detect reboots. QEMM386.SYS can often detect reboots without this process. In this case, you may specify NOROM and save 4K of memory. What determines whether a given system is one in which QEMM can detect a reboot without this "reboot page" mapping setup? -- Rich Wales <wales@CS.UCLA.EDU> // UCLA Computer Science Department 3531 Boelter Hall // Los Angeles, CA 90024-1596 // +1 (213) 825-5683
