janeri@lise.unit.no <1991Jun17.173153.17151@ugle.unit.no> : [ DOS 5.0 problems from someone else ] | | Are you sure DOS 5.0 is the only reason ? Norton's Disk Cache works | perfect with DOS 5.0 here. | | Did you remember to reboot after issuing the SETVER command? | | Jan Speaking of Norton's Disk Cache, particularly ncache-f ... I use ncache-f under QEMM, on a 386 with 4Megs, and I cannot get it to run in extended memory. I can set aside a chunk from QEMM for ncache to use, but ncache flashes a message about not using extended memory that is shared with expanded memory (or something like that, I haven't managed to hang onto the message long enough to memorize it yet). I can run ncache-f in the expanded memory that QEMM provides, but I'd like to try it in extended memory. (BTW, this is all under DOS3.3 right now, soon to be DOS5.0) Can anyone offer any suggestions for doing this? thanks, -bob,mon.
