While walking with my dog this morning before work my boyfriend and I happened on a hummingbird sitting in the wet grass. It was fluttering and trying to fly but it's right wing was injured. I suppose there is not much hope for the little guy to survive but we feel we have to try. We just couldn't leave it there on the grass (typical meddling humans). If any of you have any suggestion or clues on how to care for a hummingbird please pass them along to me. He certainly is an exquisite little creature. Denise djo@chem.ucsd.arpa
