I am currently a member of the ACM. I would like to join a SIG, specifically SIGOPS. The membership form is a little vague on this. My current ACM membership will expire is 11/91 -- if I join SIGOPS now, will I then have to renew the ACM and SIGOPS memberships at different times each year? (It is my understanding that they are usually billed together.) Is it possible to pay for half a year of SIGOPS, and then renew both membership at the same time in 11/91? Any information about this would be appreciated. I thought I'd give this newsgroup a try because it's easier to post than wade through a phone call (getting transferred around from person to person until you get to someone who can answer your question is not my idea of fun!), but if nobody knows the answer to this I'll definitely give the folks at ACM a call.
