I haven't seen anybody talk about the electrical engineering card that was suppose to be available several months ago. Is it available yet?? If so, how much, and what is on it? Thanks...... E-Mail to: jeffs@matt.ksu.ksu.edu JEFFS@KSUVM

According to Edu-CALC my EE application card went in the mail on Fri May 10. If that is so, then I should get it next friday, a day before I depart to go home for summer vacation. I will attempt to send a message ^^^^^^^ to the BITNET mail group HP-48 giving details about the card. This may or may not happen since I will have access (after memorial day) to a computer system that has a weak link to BITNET. However, unless anyone knows of a way to mail a message to c.s.h via E-mail, there will be no way for me to post something here. I could possibly attemp to mail something to someone who could then post it for me. Send me a message if you are interested in doing this. Sincerely, Jason P. Well I finally got my EE application card :) However, it came right AFTER my last EE exam for this term :( As I promised, here is a quick description of the EE card. The main menu has the following items: Equation Library AC Circuits Fourier/Laplace Transforms Ladder Network Analysis Transmission Lines Two-Port Networks Constants Library The Equation Library has 11 categories of equations. The AC Circuits section has 9 categories. The Fourier/Laplace Transforms are a table and they can be coppied to the stack. The following are also available: Pole/Zero Analysis Fourier Coefficients FFT Inverse FFT The Two-Port Network option gives the followin: Circuit Performance Paramter Conversions Cascade Connections Series Connections Parallel Connections Series-Parallel Connections Parallel-Series Connections The Constants Library has the following categories: Universal Constants Physical Constants Silicon Properties Magnetic Properties In general the card seems to be rather nice. All of its functions are accessed through a nice menu program. The font used in the menu program can be switched between a small font and a large font at the press of a button. This is really nice. The only problem that I have had with it so far is that it will not put the two-port parameters on the stack when I as it to do so after calculating the parameters. If anyone else has experienced this please let me know. I am planning on contacting Sparcom about this *BUG*. And, yes it is a *BUG* because it does NOT do what it is supposed to do! I would like to thank everyone who voluntered to post this for me. As you can see, I got the card before I left and was able to post my self. Thanks Sincerely, Jason P.
