Re. Jacana in Arizona

The Northern Jacana is still at the Guevavi Ranch near Nogales, Arizona
as of November 20. It has been there since June or July. One hope this
species will move into the state, as it has in Texas.
Sure is great to see those big feet plopping along!!!!
Also on the new Buenos Aire Wildlife Refuge between Arivaca and
Sasabe there are ducks, a Swow Goose, Cattle, Snowy, and Great Egrets,
a female Red-breasted Merganser, lots of hawks, and a Green Kingfisher
reported near Arivaca (last seen on the 17th). Go south to the stream
crossing of the highway about a half mile from town. The Arizona RBA
is 1-602-881-WING.
