I am interested in purchasing a spotting scope for viewing birds and other types of wildlife. The one I see used most frequently is the Bushnell Spacemaster with the 20X eyepiece. I also know that Nikon makes 2 spotting scopes, one has ED glass which is about $100 more than the "vanilla" one. Any recommendations? Has anyone had experiece with the Nikon ED model and is it worth the extra $100? How about using them with a camera? What is the effective fstop and focal length? I had someone at a camera store trying to sell me the Celestron C90. Any comments on the Celestron mirror type vs the Nikon/Bushnell non mirror type?
